On Saturday, April 19 hundreds of Treasure Valley residents celebrated Earth Day 2008 by volunteering on a restoration or clean up project. Idaho EarthFest 2008 brought out 125 volunteers to help.

In the past 10 plus years, Idaho EarthFest has provided the opportunity for thousands of people in the Treasure Valley to celebrate Earth Day with community events, festivals and volunteer service projects. Together, we've planted trees, marked storm drains, cleaned up local parks and wetlands, learned about local green organizations and businesses, and provided fun activities for kids.

What happened to the Earth Day Festival?

In 2008, the Idaho EarthFest Committee took a break from the Earth Day Festival we've traditionally hosted in Julia Davis Park and focused on recruiting volunteers for service projects.
