Unplug
and Be Outside Week April 25 - 30, 2011
Did you know that kids spend an average of 7-8 hours a week on screen time,
but only about 20 minutes outside--per week? Reconnect
with each other and with the outdoors by participating in Unplug and Be Outside Week. Free, fun activities
for your family take place all week long, ending on Sat. April 30th with an Explore Outside Event at the Idaho Shakespeare
Festival. Kids will receive prizes and be eligible for a drawing for other great prizes with their participation. For more information and a list of activities,

to planting) Join the Boise Parks & Recreation
Community Forestry Unit and other volunteers to help plant trees along the streets of Boise! Releaf Boise is the City's
annual volunteer tree planting program which is associated American Forests' Global Releaf campaign. The goal is to make
Boise a better place to live by providing trees to shade streets, clean the air, and ease global (Boise's) warming. Both

Earth Day Plant Sale 10 am - 1 pm [members only sale: Fril April 29 5 - 7 pm] MK Nature Center (behind the
Idaho Department of Fish and Game building) 600 S. Walnut, Boise Native plants make great additions to your landscape
- they are easy to grow and adapted to our local climate conditions. Choose from a large selection of native flowers, grasses,
shrubs and trees. Knowledgeable botanists will be on hand to answer your questions. Proceeds will benefit the local INPS
chapter (Pahove) and the MK Nature Center. A complete plant list is available on the INPS website. Be sure to get there

Idaho Falls SATURDAY APRIL 23, 2011 Earth Day Celebration @ Tautphaus Park & Tautphaus
Park Zoo 10 am - 4 pm Plan now to attend the annual Earth Day Celebration at the
Tautphaus Park Zoo and Hockey Shelter. Enjoy a day of live music, conservation education, games, crafts and displays by local
clubs and organizations. Zoo admission will be free for children 12 and under with a paying adult and a can of food for the
Idaho Falls Food Bank or one of the recyclable items listed on the IF Earth Day website, www.ifearthday.com.
